The Hemlocks by NOC

Beautiful location, but the drivers on this narrow winding road definitely do not appreciate the beauty. They ride your bumper and are very aggressive. Like what's the rush. Even in the dead of winter there was a lot of traffic. Which was odd l. Beautiful outdoor area. To across the swinging bridge up the road a little bit and there is an awesome huge cave for exploring. Food and wait staff were both exceptional.

Such an extremely cool place to visit. Just to see everything that is going on. They have so much available to any visitor. They can help train everyone at all levels. They also have restaurants and adventure for all ages.

I did the zip line, one on the longest and most beautiful I’ve ever been on, and white water rafting. The guides on both activities were friendly and full of fun facts about the area. Also ate at the Rivers edge restaurant twice and enjoyed that as well. All in all, Nantahala is a great pick for guided outdoor activities, and has outstanding friendly customer service.

Our second time coming to the NOC and we went white water rafting! It was so peaceful and exciting at the same time! We ate at the Rivers End Restaurant and had some yummy food. 😋 Cant wait to come back and do more activities!!!

NOC Adventure Centre is such a refreshing stop—whether you’re there for outdoor thrills or just passing through! We loved how it’s set up with plenty of space to relax, grab a bite, and take in the riverside views. The rest area was super convenient and clean, and the activity centre had something for everyone—shops, gear, and fun little things to explore. Best part? It’s dog-friendly! It was a stop after the rail ride - Definitely worth stopping by!
