Lovely area, wonderful host, bathrooms kept clean. so bummed to not be able to come back in 2025 but hoping that it will reopen from Helene in the future.

Black Mountain Campground is praised for its clean facilities, with bathrooms and showers maintained daily. The friendly and helpful staff enhance the experience, and the campground offers great access to hiking, including Mt. Mitchell. Visitors are advised to be cautious of bear activity and to secure food properly, but overall, it is a lovely and enjoyable camping destination.

Small campground with well spaced sites. Convenient distance to showers and bathrooms from all sites. Most sites liked level with gravel bases. Would stay again if in the area.
