The water in the campground spigots, and in fact the whole campground, was not drinkable. We only found out when we asked the host specifically about the water. There were no warning signs at the spigots, and the host did not tell us until we asked (because it was coming out brown). Also there was no dump station, and the host did not know where there were any dump stations in the area. Someone should let the host know where some nearby dump stations are located. Better yet, install a dump station! It’s a beautiful campground, although a bit tight. We had to change campsites because the one we reserved was not wide enough for our slideout.

Bathrooms were not very clean. The showers didn’t have hangers for keeping clothing and stuff off the floor and out of the water. A dump station would be a great improvement.
Sites were large and views and trails were great.

Nice location on the South Toe river. Quiet when we were there in mid-October. Water available but no dump station. We spent to nice nights there with easy access to Mt Mitchell and the BlueRidge. Overall nice but could use some updating and the on site nature trail needs some work.
