Cape Point Campground is a well-maintained and peaceful destination, offering clean facilities and quick beach access, making it ideal for fishing and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, spacious sites, and the presence of wildlife, such as deer and rabbits. We enjoyed this quiet, uncrowded campground near the ocean and lighthouse/museum. The bathrooms have flush toilets and the cold water shower was refreshing. Felt remote, but not far from restaurants and the main road. Loved the beautiful sunrise.

A gem of a campground, only the essentials and an expansive, well maintained lawn with great proximity to several beaches and a bird sanctuary. Always very peaceful there.

Absolutely the best little hidden gem we have found yet. I canceled my frisco reservation immediately upon staying here because there is just no comparison whatsoever. Unfortunately didn't know booking wasn't available in advanced though. Hopefully we will be able to go back. Only complaint was the light in the women's bathroom not working.

Really liked this campground, very convenient if your planning on spending your days on the beach. Wish there was a section for generator use after 10 p.m because those hot summer nights can get pretty miserable inside a camper. Other than that it has spacious campsites and very convenient.

Very nice campground with spacious level lots (paved) and grassy areas between. The bathrooms were clean. The campground has a nice parking lot providing access to the beach and is also close to the lighthouse and visitor center. I wish the sites had some shade but that’s the nature of the vegetation that grows there. We went in summer and it was very hot, it would be nice in fall or spring I think.

The grounds, location and my particular campsite were very nice. The bathrooms were also good and kept clean. Showers were old, less clean but quite adequate. Occupancy was less than 10% , so I only had to wait when carloads of non campers used the showers. I imagine there would be long wait times if the campground were full.
Unfortunately for me with my quiet little solar panel, I was right next to a neighbor with a loud obnoxious generator. I didn't want to bother relocating my tent for the short time I had left, but now I wish I had. I failed to notice the tent only parallel parking campsites when booking on the website, too bad.
My One Big Suggestion is to have the tent only sites be generator and loudspeaker free. But I enjoyed my time there and plan to come back.

Grounds are well maintained, bathrooms and shower buildings are clean. Sites are great size. Can hear the waves crashing from over the dunes - convenient location to beaches, shops and restaurants! Will definitely visit again and recommend to all fellow campers (rvs and tent owners)!!!
