About Cedar Point Campground

Cedar Point Campground and Recreation Area is located in eastern North Carolina at the junction of the White Oak River and the Bogue Sound, immediately adjacent to the Swansboro Inlet. It is within 1 mi of full service shopping, and within 2 mi of NC's Crystal Coast and the barrier island beach community of Bogue Banks. The campground is extremely busy and reservations are recommended but must be made 3 days in advance. Of the 36 campsites, 4 are considered first-come, first served campsites that cannot be reserved or held, so a person must physically be there with their camping equipment to purchase the campsite. Cedar Point campground has the option to use Scan & Pay system, but by the rules of recreation.gov it may only be used for first-come, first served sites. Please make sure to contact a campground host to ensure availability before paying for any campsite. Failure to check with the campground host for availability may result in the loss of your camping fee.

Great campground close to beach. Each site is spacious and far from the next. A big plus that each site has an electrical hookup. Bathrooms are spacious and overall well maintained.

This was a very quiet campground. The sites are well spaced out and you have a lot of room. It's a small campground so all sites are within easy walking distance to the bath house, but there is also a parking area if you have mobility issues. It's also close to town for anything you may need. It's not far from touristy stuff, but you are tucked away into the woods without all of the noisy city atmosphere.

This is a very solid campground only 3-4 mi from the Emerald Isle beach. The bath/shower facilities while adequate, they are starting to show their age. We have stayed 4-5 times and will be back later this year. Campground is well kept.

Nicely orfganized like most parks these days where you just go to the site without any need to check in. Site was clean and ready. However the bathrooms were out of toilet paper and had not been cleaned for at least two days. Also many people have unleashed dogs and no one enforces the rules. I was charged by two large dogs.

Clean, quiet, and a great place to relax. The only problem is with the showers. They are way to hot. They start out warm but then get too hot. If a child was in the shower, it would burn them.
