What Guests Are Saying
Smokemont Campground is praised for its beautiful, wooded setting, peaceful atmosphere, and proximity to hiking trails and nearby attractions. Very nice place, lots of room, quiet next to river, recommend booking way in advance, very popular location.

Good sized sights, no bears in the campground thus far that year, friendly host, but no firewood sold on site. Stung by a yellow jacket.

Nice campground with flush toilets and spacious sites. Shady. No cell service

Great location since you are actually in the national park, however not much privacy between each campsite since they are so close together. The stream next to the campground is lovely.

Clean sites, and toilets. Water available throughout the campsite in each lettered section (A, B, etc) easy trail access from the campground, only 15 minute drive to resupply in Charokee. Elk were present in the tall grass areas of the Park Rd. Great views abound!

Running water, no electric. Well maintained campground with bear proof trash available. Legal firewood and ice available just outside the campground at a decent price. Would come again if back in the Smokies

Lovely campground! I had a great stay and the staff was so welcoming. This site is right next to the river, bathrooms and trash. BUT it’s very close to the surrounding sites. I prefer to have a bit more distance.

Great place to camp! We were in 12C and it’s close to restrooms and river. Restrooms were always clean and the campground employees were very nice and hospitable. Convenient to Cherokee, Cades Cove, and Gatlinburg. We will return.
