What Guests Are Saying
Smokemont Campground is praised for its beautiful, wooded setting, peaceful atmosphere, and proximity to hiking trails and nearby attractions. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, friendly and helpful staff, and the enjoyable ranger programs. However, some concerns include maintenance issues, such as overgrown grass and the need for more thorough restroom cleaning, along with the absence of showers and limited privacy between sites.

Great to visit in off season. Only a third of the campground is open. Being at oow elevation it is much cooler to visit in the winter. Creek is great for little kids

I loved this campground! The short 0.8 mi nature trail was beautiful. Highly recommend stargazing at night and catching every sunrise you can (ideally on a hike- watching the sunrise with a mountain view is unbeatable).

Lovely campsite. This specific one was close to the bathroom, so prepare to have the occasional light shining into your setup.
