Smokemont Campground is praised for its beautiful, wooded setting, peaceful atmosphere, and proximity to hiking trails and nearby attractions. We enjoyed a two night stay at Smokemont with our travel trailer. It’s a beautiful campground with some really nice trails right on site. Our dog loved being there, there were clean restrooms and the campground staff and host were top notch. Will definitely stay again!

Excellent location to reach excellent hikes and waterfalls in the park around Newfound Gap area, as well as quick access to both Cherokee and Bryson City, which we prefer over Gatlinburg which is often crowded and too "touristy" for our liking.

Grass around campsites were knee high. Dump station water fixtures have been broken for months. Host were on there toes concerning generators. Stayed here for years and will be back.

Please continue to support the national parks, and please lift the hiring freeze. The GSMNP is a treasure and needs to be fully staffed with full time park staff committed to protecting the national parks for future generations. The national parks are a treasure that I fully support being funded with taxpayer dollars.

We stayed on C9 across from the water which was so nice. Tom the host was very helpful and always walking around the campground. Bathrooms were clean.

We had a great time! We were 6 people with 2 cars. Next time we’ll get two campsites. People were friendly and the restrooms worked well. We did lots of hiking and had a cookout. It was a very nice time and we’ll be there again.
