Clean facility, nice folks running the campsite. Way too many campers driving fast thru campgrounds with children, kids, and adults using same roads.

We had another great stay at Smokemont. The site was nearly level, and completely shaded. It was a great summertime getaway in the mountains of the GSMNP. The nearby stream cooled us off when the heat of the day set in.

It was a pretty nice campground. Clean bathrooms, available firewood, and its right next to a stream.

Camp Host and Ranger very friendly. Easy check in and check out. Site was clean and easy to pull in and out. Well maintained with no issues of tree branches or overgrowth interfering with our camper van. Restrooms were very clean morning and night. Very convenient as the campground is only about 2-3 mi from town. We will be back for sure.

We have been camping at Smokemont for several years and love it. This year was the first time in the "camper loop". This area was great for the little one to ride bikes and meet friends while also keeping an eye on her.
Just be aware that even though scooters aren't allowed in the campground, people still use them and will often times travel in the wrong direction. When driving a full size truck, sometimes they are tough to see.

The addition of soap dispensers in the bathroom was a wonderful upgrade. We camp at Smokemont often and I would always bring and leave a bottle of soap so others could use. Excited to see money spent on a much needed item.
