What Guests Are Saying
Smokemont Campground is praised for its beautiful, wooded setting, peaceful atmosphere, and proximity to hiking trails and nearby attractions. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, friendly and helpful staff, and the enjoyable ranger programs. However, some concerns include maintenance issues, such as overgrown grass and the need for more thorough restroom cleaning, along with the absence of showers and limited privacy between sites.

The campground was well maintained (restrooms cleaned each morning) with good tent pads, drinking water available in fountains and spout. I talked with the campground rangers twice and they were very helpful about the weather, park's status, things to do and places to visit. I had a great time!

Site B36 was good, It's really close to the bathrooms which is a blessing and a curse. People were walking by/through our campsite several times a day and the lights from the bathroom stay on all night.

The river running through was so pleasant. The bathroom was so nasty, I was only there toward the end of the one day I stayed but still, it was gross. The sites are very spacious but theres no privacy at individual sites, its very open. There's good trees for hammocking. The front office people were very nice and helpful. I will be back!
