We absolutely loved Flanners Camp! Jackie the host and her husband were great, full of information around the area! They kept everything cleaned and well maintained. A beautiful area to call home for 2 weeks, hiking, site seeing, the history at Macon Fort, Radio Island to go fish🤗 A drive to the Outer Banks! Oh and the beauty of the fighter Jets at the near by base flying overhead! We love our stay!

I love camping there. Just being able to make a bonfire and walk the trails is great!

Area is beautiful and we loved our campsite. The only negative was the host kept the gate closed all the time so if you went out you had to open the gate and when you got back same thing. We have been to many camp grounds and never experienced that.

The host here was extremely rude! Beyond being belligerent, he was walking through campsites looking for reasons to cause problems. The beach access shows no signs of being restored after years of being in this condition. The hiking and bike trails are often disrupted by fallen trees. It is sad to see a park with such potential, be mismanaged to the point of becoming a last resort location. It really is a beautiful place, ruined by the host, lack of maintenance and neglect!

This was our first time at this campground and loved it. 100% what we like in a campground, quiet with wooded sites.

This is a lovely, quiet campground, with spread-out campsites, etc. We enjoyed it a lot. Our only complaint is that leaving some of the electric sites for first-come, first-served is difficult as the recreational world increasingly depends on the ability to reserve space: we are all in a world of needing to plan ahead for space now.

Stay is consistently awesome. Hosts are golden. Sites and wash house are clean. The grounds are kept up while stile get a sense of the natural all around.
The look out spot is the real jewel.

3 yrs post hurricane and infrastructure still not addressed. one bath house closed, beach access unavailable. sites need pruning on sides for back in. water spigots leaking a lot. no electric outlet in bath house, couldn't shave. 1 toilet on men's not enough.
