Love taking my Travel Trailer to this Great campground to get away from all the hectic everyday life. Camp is off the Betten path so to speak. My third visit and the campground. All Facilities are well kept, and the bath house is very clean. Camp Host was Great and keeps the riffraff out a plus. Nature path to enjoy nature at it Greatest. Beach area is closed due to storms of the past. Hope it will open soon. Not too far from the Marine Base and Atlantic Beach. Cedar Island Ferry is not too far away for a Great Day Trip. Been there and done it.
Hope to visit again soon!! See ya

Very nice campground with nice hosts and trees all around. Good spacing between sites. Fairly quiet though some road noise and the occasional jet flying. The trail along the water is closed but there are other trails right from the campground. One does need to fill up with water before getting situated due to their being no taps at the sites. With my senior discount my rate was $17 a night for a site with electricity.

The campground was a good base for a few days. It was quiet and convenient to both Beaufort and New Bern. We walked a few of the trails. My only suggestion is to better mark the trails.

Great 2 night stay at this campground convenient to New Bern and Beaufort. Campsite was spacious and easy to pull in. Lovely trail access from right behind the site. Bathrooms were a bit dated but clean enough. Plenty of hot water. Only downside to the showers was you had to hold the button down in order for the water to run. Definitely saves water but on a cold day (in the 30s) it was chilly in there!!
Great site access to a few river lookout points - can’t wait to come back when the beach access is back open again.

Relatively full campground during the week and no empty sites on Friday or Saturday. Very quiet even on the weekend. Well taken care of bathhouse. Easy to access dump station and water fill. Conveniently located dumpster for trash. Close proximity to historic New Bern, Morehead City, and Fort Macon. We will stay here again when in the area.

Enjoyed my stay here. It was nice and quiet without a lot of folks coming and going.

We camped with a TT. This is a small, well maintained campground with convenient, clean bathrooms/showers. Reasonably private sites with a lot of trees. Many sites with electric but none with water, although there is water available at two locations...just need to be aware. Dump site available. Campground host was very friendly and helpful! Unfortunately access to the beach is still not available due to damage from a previous storm. Well maintained hiking trails with access from the campsites-several loops of varying lengths. Close to New Bern...visited on a Sunday so many places were closed. So much to do there, could have used an extra day! Will definitely be back!
