Nice little park! Easy to get around and park. Bathroom and showers were old but with alot of pressure.

Great park, large sites, clean bathrooms… just wish the beach was open! Really disappointed that there has been and will be no effort to restore the are.

Close to groceries and restaurants. Really like the adjoining public area for walking and bicycling. Wish Feds would make it a priority to open up the natural beach area that had damage from Hurricane Florence.

This was a quiet and secluded campground. I enjoyed our stay. The trails nearby need improvement - many of the signs were not readable.

A small intimate well-managed destination. Very quiet relaxing and convenient for our two sightseeing destinations. We hope to make it back.

This has quickly become our favorite campground. Fantastic hosts, Jackie & Dennis, ensure a peaceful, quiet and relaxing environment. The forest is beautiful, with trail access directly out the back of most sites. The campground is clean and well maintained. Hot showers. Dump and potable water. 5 Stars!

Most disappointing, sites have not been trimmed back in years, limbs hanging into site entrance, fite pit had 18" W x 18" H log sitting inside it partially burnt(have pics) host didn't remove before arrival; only saw host once all week he was off working elsewhere not addressing campground, wife went around changing site booking tags that's it. Bathhouse was ok but no electric so couldn't shave.

Very cool quiet campground. Dennis and Jackie the hosts were very friendly and keep the campground in excellent condition. Great hiking trails. I would suggest a hiking app before you enter Alltrails for example. They are quit long but well maintained with great views. Except for the lack of access to the river due to recent hurricane.

No beach access! There doesn’t appear to be a pan to restore this. Good trails. Close to New Bern which is a jewel. Currently construction on Hwy 70 which slows traffic at times.
