RV spaces we difficult to navigate because trees and brush were not trimmed around the space. One bathroom was closed and the only bath house did not have any heat and hot water wasn't adjustable because the knobs were missing. The river front was not open to visitors and seems to have been closed for a long time. Some spots with electric hookups were not occupied but the web site said they were. Will not visit here again.

We hit the jackpot with this campground! Flanner's Beach Campground was peaceful, well kept, and friendly. We traveled from NH to NC and were visiting family in the area. When we pulled in we were delighted that our site was shaded and private, as specified. Our dog enjoyed the many strolls on the forest trails and sandy beach along the rivers' edge. Our host was very helpful and kind throughout our stay. There's even a campground cat (no-name yet). Maybe there should be a Name-That-Cat contest?!?! Our vote is Scout!
If you're in the mood ... Travel down to Morehead City and visit Fort Mason at Atlantic Beach. The sweet treats at AB Ice Cream and Candy Shoppe really hit the spot. The Cherry Point military base is right in the area, so you can always see what is going on there. We were a little early for the air show, but maybe next time!

Very quiet campground. The showers are a little dated but were kept clean. There are only 2 places to get water so fill up when you get there.

The beach area was closed but the location was secluded and quiet.

Nice quiet location. Bathrooms were convenient and clean for a campsite. Water and dump station available and easy to access. Campsites were large with enough space to not be on top of the neighbors.

I loved camping at Flanners Beach. I stayed 7 days, 3 non electric and 4 with hook up. Plenty of nice trails to walk my dog. Peaceful & quiet. Nice beach with great views. Host was super helpful. The only thing I didn’t like was the shower. People don’t know how to clean up after themselves, or maybe they just don’t want to. The water was lukewarm, which made my shower uncomfortable. Other than that I would definitely camp here again.

Almost all of the bathrooms were out of order. I feel sorry for tenters
I realize that the war in Iran takes precedent over public restrooms, freedom comes at a cost, but bring your own toilet to this campground.

This place was wonderful, from the natural trails through the forests to the sandy beachec along the coast. Absolutely loves it! Some beaches were badly damages from a hurricane , but there was plenty of beach to enjoy and in most areas the water looked fairly clean and clear! Lots of shells drift ewood and sea glass to find, freat shell collecting and gorg sunrises and sunsets! Not much around the area if you dont have a car (im in a class A RV) but walmrt and other stores only about 5 miles away! Very Relaxing and peaceful. Bathrooms and Showers were pretty goos (for a campground) and You cant beat the price point at only $20/night with no hook ups or $25 /night with Electric. Staff was helpful when needed and guest were very pleasant to eachother!
