Flanners Beach Campground

First, Croatan National Forest is absolutely beautiful with so many vistas, views and places to see and visit. Bobby, the campground manager was incredibly awesome. He is a jewel for the park service. I met the super for the bathhouses - and he was also a very engaging young man who took a lot of pride in keeping the facilities clean and working, even during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Great place even without the beach.

Beautiful, secure campground, great for biking and hiking. Camp host very friendly. Stayed a week and looking forward to returning soon.

Overall campground was nice and quiet. Lots of trails for hiking. Wish they would put a set of stairs in place so you could once again have access to the beach area. Only negative is that the hand soap dispenser in bathroom ran out Friday afternoon and when we left Sunday it still had not been refilled.

Camp sights are small and little to no privacy. Maybe that’s how they all are as this was my first time in a campground. Clean and hot showers were nice.

Nice little park. Most campsites are pretty large with trees in between. A few spots are not big rig friendly, but more are. Camp host worked real hard to grounds clean and leaf free. You can tell he really enjoys his hosting gig. Took a day trip to New Bern and its a very nice town. Would stay again.

We had great time

The bathhouse was clean. The campground is nice. The gate had to be closed at all times even during the day making it inconvenient.

Great state park! Very clean and close to shopping. The camp hosts were very friendly and took great care of the facility. There were lots of trails within the campground and the scenery in the woods was wonderful. Only down side is no wifi and cell signal was weak. We would definitely go back!
