Very quiet and the site was huge and we even had enough room for everything.

I had an enjoyable stay at the campground. The site was very clean. The bathrooms were decent. It was relatively quiet. Cell phone reception with Visible (Verizon network) was good. There are nice, well maintained trails through the woods around the campground. I did a 5.4 mile loop and had no trouble following the trail. This was my first trip, but based on other reviews it sounds like the beach access is not what it used to be. You can walk over to the recreation area and access the beach there. Can't wait to visit again!

This was a very pleasant campground, although we spent little time here. Site #9 was plenty big enough for our 30ft camper but a tad hard to get in to because of the permanently placed picnic table. Used all of our electric cord to get to the 30 amp receptacle.
Shower facility was clean but hot water was in short supply. Also watch out for the fresh water fill hose by the dump. You might get an unexpected shower.

Very nice quiet campground I didn't use the bath houses we are self contained. Nice bike/walking trails. At the right tide you can walk down the beach. We went into New Bern to the historic district. Cute shops and nice waterfront park. My only complaint is the dump station water doesnt work so you can dump but not flush

Toilet and showers out of service. The dump station out of service. Looks like they need to spend time and money getting up to standards for a camp ground. We paid full price for less than full service.

We love the location, roomy sites, shade, trails and beach. But 3 out of 5 toilets were out of order and the dump station was closed. This campground needs more attention and funding! Since there was a shortage of toilets we used ours in our camper so we had to pay $39 to dump at another campground on the way home. Host and co host were active and we did receive a phone call about the dump being closed ahead of time.

Nice quite campground, sewage pump was out of commission for a while but repaired by the time I left. Some of the facilities in need of repair but that is at the mercy of those that hand out the dollars. Too bad the stairs to the beach have not been repaired.

This place was wonderful, from the natural trails through the forests to the sandy beachec along the coast. Absolutely loves it! Some beaches were badly damages from a hurricane , but there was plenty of beach to enjoy and in most areas the water looked fairly clean and clear! Lots of shells drift ewood and sea glass to find, freat shell collecting and gorg sunrises and sunsets! Not much around the area if you dont have a car (im in a class A RV) but walmrt and other stores only about 5 miles away! Very Relaxing and peaceful. Bathrooms and Showers were pretty goos (for a campground) and You cant beat the price point at only $20/night with no hook ups or $25 /night with Electric. Staff was helpful when needed and guest were very pleasant to eachother!
