The campground is small but very well kept. The trails and river beach are nice and relaxing. The camp host Paul is an absolute professional. He's concerned for his campers, he is knowledgeable about all things nature and knows everything about camping. He's very helpful, and makes it easy for a first time camper to learn the ropes. The directions to the campground online and Google maps however, are both wrong and desperately need to be corrected.

Quiet, clean simple campground. Campground host was thoughtful; calling just after I made the reservation to let us know our motorhome (36ft listed in my preferences) would not fit on the site I reserved and no utilities for hookup. I explained that we were not using the motorhome, just our much shorter conversion van for night. I do wish that the website had noted the restroom at that end of the campground was closed. Since we were just using our van without its own bathroom, I specifically selected a site directly across from the restroom. (So note: the restroom across from site 32 is closed.)

Great host. Camp ground was clean. Bathrooms and shower houses were cleaned regularly while we were there. Bike paths were awesome as well.

The campground was well maintained and clean. Bathrooms and showers cleaned frequently during my two week stay. Close to several great restaurants and activities. The beach is thirty minutes away and the aquarium is right down the street.

Great campground, short distance from downtown New Bern with great dining and a few coffee shops. Small town vibes, host was accommodating.
