We recently spent three nights at Wiseman Ridge at site #1 and loved the quiet and views the campground afforded. We enjoyed the proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway (although it was closed in sections in both directions nearby) but that made it less crowded and peaceful. We loved Blowing Rock and the Linville Falls hike nearby, as well as the Linville Falls Winery just a mile or so away. It was close enough to Asheville to drive to Biltmore for a day while feeling like we had a mountaintop to ourselves. The night sky views were spectacular. We certainly hope to be back!

Standard RV hook up with power water and waste. Quiet and peaceful location with a view. $80 was expensive for an over night stay with just basic amenities. We were also disturbed twice to confirmed that we had paid, which we had. Poor value for money for the site and amenities.

This was our second time staying at Wiseman Ridge and it was absolutely perfect. Last time we camped at site #1 and this time site #2. Both provided plenty of space and the views were spectacular. We saw deer in the morning and at dusk. The owner, Eric Chesson, recommended we drive up to Wiseman's View and it did not disappoint. We had incredible views of the LInville Gorge across from Hawksbill and Table Rock mountains. The campground is just a short distance from the Blue Ridge Parkway and LInville Winery as well.

Great camping. Stayed for 9 nights on site #2. We have been camping in Wyoming and Montana and these views were as spectacular ( at least for the East Coast ). Sitting on the ridge and can see down the valley including two large rock faces for at least 8 mi. WiFi was strong enough to stream two televisions. There is absolutely no light pollution. Quiet. Loved listening to the kadydids and crickets. Camped with 8 kids, fifth wheel, tent, four cars, and a volleyball net on our site. Great hiking nearby.
Ate at two great restaurants. Celluci’s Italian in Pineola and the Tin Trout. Very good food at both. Tin Trout is one of those hidden gems and is very popular and reasonably priced but has gourmet cuisine. Both are within a 10-15 minute ride.
Great service from great owners. Will definitely be back.

The views were amazing! I had to read with that. We were in lot #1 but the way it's set up no matter which lot you're in you will get a good view. Loved that they had full hookup (power, water, & sewer). And we made good use of the campfire.
Side note Wiseman's View is about 25 minutes from the camp ground. The sky is amazing and we were able to see Brown mountain lights (a set of mysterious lights that appears at night and have been studied by NASA but no one can explain them). After you park you will walk about 3 minutes to get to the Wisemans view overlook.
