I have been camping at Ocracoke for decades. Loop D has always been generator free. What happened to change that? It is causing conflict between tent campers and those in giant RVs with generators that loudly run and drown out the nature.
I made a reservation in May and had to accept the disclaimer saying loop d was generator free. I go camping in September and everyone is running generators.
Loops a, b and c allow generators. Why are you taking away loop d from the tent campers who want peace and quiet?
I saw first hand conflicts arrive because of this.

My rating should be poor because you took away the no generators on the D loop!!! Fortunately by chance no one has been using one near me but that could change in an instant. The campsites are too close to not have this rule!!! If not, just ban all generators in the entire campground!!!!

We love this campground we go almost every year is always clean when we get there, restrooms are clean but they really need to upgrade the showers there is no light pretty much nothing to hang towels /clothes in there, most of of the doors won’t stay locked so if you have a high wind your door will open in the middle of a shower

The campground and beach were clean. One toilet in bathroom was marked out of order for the 4 days we were there.

Best campground so far this year. Will come again. Only downside is the ferry ride but even then it's a nice break from driving.

Ocracoke is spacious, breezy, and has simple amenities that make the camping experience comfortable but also not too fancy. I really enjoy staying at this campsite year over year.

There is no longer a designated area for tenting which means there are campers with generators allowed throughout the campsite. The noise is terrible.
