One lovely night at Ocracoke! Proximity to the beach was great. Incredible stars! Wonderful spot to wake up to on my 34th birthday.

We love the NPS campground on Ocracoke so much that we have been there coming for 19 years.
It is rustic with cold showers only and no electricity or wifi signal, which makes it perfect for anyone who wants to be disconnected from all electronics and social networks and to be reconnected with nature.
It is a unique pristine but fragile environment; we love sleeping at night with just the sound of the waves crashing on the other side of the dunes.

Need to communicate and monitor generator use and hours more closely. Seems like people are confused when making reservations l that section D is non-generator at all times. Many value quiet when camping.

The Park Service Rangers and staff are doing an excellent job maintaining the campground despite being short of, what was already not enough, staff and funding due to recent cuts. Thanks to them for their dedication.
