The camp hostess (think her name was Lynn) was so helpful. I arrived not knowing you needed an account. She patiently helped get everything set up. The other campers I talked to all loved her. She’s super friendly and loved being there.

Beautiful campground. Facilities were clean and well maintained. I would suggest a Handicap Boardwalk within the campground for beach access. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

We camp at Ocracoke a couple of times per year, and as usual, we had a great time. The campsite is well-run, close to the beach and close to the village - without being too close. Good clean bathrooms and showers.

Very basic campground close to the beach.
There are no electrical hookups, hence you have generators running from 6am-10pm, this can be very noisy.
There are (5) cold showers for the whole campground and the lines can get long especially in the evening hours from 6pm-8pm. There are (2) more outdoor showers for a quick rinse off but of course no privacy.
The toilet houses are newer and clean.
We have been there 2 times and if you know what to expect is fine. One true negative, as the campground isn't every expensive there are a lot of no-shows for reserved spots, especially for the prime spots close the dunes.

female host rude. for example, she called me at about 8:30 pm to tell me not to see the other host as he was in some sort of orientation and not yet "on duty"

As always, a lovely place to fall asleep listening to the lulling sound of ocean surf!

The campground was quiet despite being fairly full when we stayed. The facilities were very clean and the location was amazing! Also, despite lots of rain leading up to our stay and during our stay, there were no mosquitoes to speak of. We werepleasantly surprised that the ground was not saturated with water so our tenting experience was still fantastic.

Great campsite. Nice host. Showers need a renovation, but it's similar to other Outer Banks National Campgrounds.
