The camping was great - only suggestion would be a place to put a dry towel/clothes when showering.

This was my first time camping in 25 years. Overall it was delightful. I went to this camp site first because I was familiar with Ocracoke and knew I could find what I needed near by, I used this as a learning experience. One thing I know is that I would not want to camp in a tent there in the heat of summer. My last night was warm and there was no breeze and the mosquitos came out. It was harder to get comfortable under those conditions. The bathrooms could use a little attention and better daily upkeep, Otherwise, the other campers were mindful of each other. It was quiet and my site had some privacy and was a short walk to the beach,

Wonderful campsite volunteers at Ocracoke, our favorite, longtime destination.
Confusion regarding generator use on one or all loops caused friction between campers, staff and police. Recommend that policy be clearly stated AND posted on site and in literature.
Dishwashing is now only allowed outside the campground across the road at the fish cleaning station? Very inconvenient.
Hope against hope that perhaps someday there might be hot water at showers??
