The area has been restored well after the hurricane. Restrooms clean but outside sewer smell made using the nearby shelter a lesser experience. Parking is limited but the website warns about that.

Great place for family reunion, tubing, fishing for the kids, great place for everyone else, 4 tables for food and eating, bathrooms close, 2 charcoal grills, even with the rain it was Great day. We will be back again in the fall!

Beautiful location with lots of trees and grass. Restrooms were close by as was a garbage dumpster. The picnic shelter was so nice offering shade and nice tables. Also a grill for cooking! Close to the river and walking trails. I give it A+!

The pavilion is and was the perfect place for my family gathering. We had enough room to play corn hole, ring toss, bingo, the smaller kids were able to run freely without disturbing the adults. Sycamore Flats Pisgah Forest is a great place to have gathering especially if they are large. Yard cut bathrooms clean, the grills were cleaned and ready to go also tables were really spacious. Over all an excellent experience thank you.

The shelter was nice and the access to the river was a lot of fun! We had about 35 people there and felt there was more than enough room. Parking gets very limited, so plan to go much earlier and claim some spots. There were other people there when we showed up and we told them we had it reserved. They “claimed” they did too but couldn’t provide their email confirmation. We had ours, showed it to them, and had to ask them to leave. Also, out of 4 bathrooms, only two worked, and one sink. That wasn’t ideal, but it was satisfactory. We would rent it again.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
