Love, Love, Love Daddy Joes. It has every amenity you can think of with no extra fees. We live 3 1/2 hrs away and this is our go to vacation spot. We travel with our RV a lot and nothing yet compares to this place. We are also church goers so Sun service at Daddy Joes is a plus. If you’ve never stayed you are missing out.

GETTING RID of the tent sites. New "pods" are going in. I am sure they will be nice, but they are nickel and diming their customers. They should keep the tent sites, just put them in a new area. Daddy Joe's is not meant to be a resort style campground. The rustic, laidback, AFFORDABLE camping experience is what helped grow Daddy Joe's in the first place. What a joke. Much better campgrounds to go to anymore for the price. Mr. Rick is ruining the business

This campground is quite literally flawless. We wanted to do something really special for our son’s birthday, so I booked a weekend trip for us at Tabor City Jellystone. And it was amazing.
The campground is beautiful. Every square inch was immaculately clean. We rented a cabin, which was super clean and equipped with everything we needed. The myriad camping options were phenomenal. Cabins, yurts, tent camping, don’t even get me started on the gorgeous outdoor kitchens available for many of the RV camping sites. I’d never wanted an RV until I saw this place!
So many fun swimming options. The splash pad is wonderful, and each of the various pools were sparkling clean. There were so many activities available. Yogi and Boo-boo will even deliver your kids’ breakfast if you’d like!
We rented a golf cart for the weekend and our son thoroughly enjoyed riding around and surveying the beautiful grounds. There’s a huge covered basketball pavilion, and so many other unique spots to stop and play. You might think the camp store would know they have a captive audience and set prices to take advantage of that, but nope- everything is fairly priced.
We loved having coffee on the giant deck of the country store, overlooking the largest of many lakes/ponds on site. Saw a lot of fishermen and want to try that next time.
There is a gorgeous pavilion of porch swings with patio lighting that we loved walking to in the evenings. You could never run out of lovely picturesque spots to relax and enjoy the scenery.
But honestly the best part of the stay- if I had to choose just one, was the staff. Every single person we encountered was so welcoming and kind. Everyone seems truly happy to be there, and help. From the front office, to the ice cream shop, camp store, everyone was as sweet as can be. It made me feel like this town, and this campground is really something special. We can’t wait to come back. We’ve told everyone about this place even though I kind of want to gatekeep it for myself. I can’t think of a better place for a family to spend a weekend, or even a summer.

Booked a 2 night stay for a tent site. Tent site had garbage all around. If check out is at 12 and check in is at 2, shouldn't there be someone who goes around and make sure the site is clean and ready for the next guest? Not here they don't do that.
Most of the mini golf looked like the picture I attached. Not maintained at all.
The first night we stayed, there were people in the site right next to us that were making noise until 3 am. So we were awake until then. No where on the booklet they give does it say anything about a park ranger and if there are any issues after hours to call the park ranger. At check in, nobody even mentioned that if there were after hours issues where to call. We decided we would leave the next day. We did not want to deal with another night of being kept awake and having to then call someone. Not my idea of camping and trying to enjoy what we paid for. The manager was not in that day. I got a missed call from her the next day she left a very unapologetic voice mail and basically said she "doesn't do refunds". I called her back because I was very curious what her reasoning for "not doing refunds" was. She had no real explanation. The call didn't get me anywhere. She made up a few reasons off the top of her head as to why and none of them made sense. "Well you booked within a day of coming here." "Well you only booked a 2 night stay". I said to her multiple times. I'm not sure what any of that has to do with the rowdy neighbors we had. And she just kept saying "well I don't do refunds"
Bottom line. This place is run down and they don't really care about the overall experience. Also.. I didn't know this but who let's people smoke at the tent sites when you are so close to your neighbor? Really unenjoyable when you don't smoke and have to smell that.

Our family really enjoyed our time here at the campground. We booked the RV spot with the outdoor kitchen. Which every rv park should offer this type of RV spot on their grounds. It was so nice there was a sink, trashcan, grill, fire pit and a swing! I didn’t understand why they have a splash pad but don’t have it open. Because the pools can get really crowded and it would be nice to utilize the other water area they have. The grounds are walkable and easy to drive your bike around. They have really cool put-put but they need to update and keep it nice. There were leafs and the grass was very messed up. The ice cream and staff are wonderful outside of this one man. The mosquitoes were NEXT LEVEL! So be prepared for a lot of mosquito bites! The splash pad closes at 6pm which is silly because it’s summer and the sun doesn’t normally go down until 8:30/9:15pm. They have a lot of fishing ponds but good luck catching anything! All the shower houses are privet and very nice. The beach is about 45 minutes away which is very nice. There’s a town maybe 5 minutes down the road! All in all the park is very nice and well put. I just wish the splash pad or water park would have been open longer. So if you’re looking to make great memories buy the big RV site and book your stay here!
