We loved this place. Quiet, and serene, very peaceful. Good place to get away from your phone, or other devices. Although there is wifi service. Great place to spend time with just your family. Very friendly staff, we hope to go back again soon.

I really don’t want to leave this review… because I want to keep this little treasure all to myself! It’s one of my families favorite campgrounds! Quiet, peaceful, falling asleep to the creek running, unplugged, great staff, and nice sites. I will say that the bathhouse is not the best… but with the creekside sites being full hook up you don’t really need them! I recommend this campground to anyone and everyone who’s looking to unplug and unwind.

Beautiful and quiet family campground. If you love nature and laid-back, this could be the place for you. It’s a no frills campground which works well for us on our creekside site.

We stayed at Trout Creek Campground in Tuckasegee, NC and really enjoyed our time there! I had a mix-up with our reservation (completely my own fault), but the woman who helped me (wish I had caught her name!) was incredibly kind and accommodating. She even offered to cancel the reservation if needed — above and beyond service.

The campground itself was peaceful, especially toward the back where we were set up. Up front, there were lots of families and kids having fun, plus a few tent campers as well. It had a great balance of quiet and community.

One of our favorite features was the beautiful stream that runs right through the campground — perfect for relaxing by or exploring. There’s also a little hiking path nearby that adds to the charm.

The road leading in was winding and steep (at least for us flatlanders from Ohio!), but absolutely gorgeous. Definitely not much room to waver.

No cell service at all.

Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet & fun mountain getaway.

We camped for three nights during the middle of the week and had a great time. Our campsite backed right up to the creek, and the sound was wonderful. As other campers have mentioned, the sites are rather packed in, and our neighbors’ site was right off one side of us, so not real private, if that’s important to you.

Road going into the campground is a little challenging and luckily we met a large construction vehicle when we only had the truck and not the trailer attached. That would have been interesting.

It looked like a great place for kiddos - and a great family campground. We would definitely consider staying again if we’re back in the area.
