Located five miles (8 km) from the entrance to the South Unit of the park, the campground is open year-round. Beautifully kept campground with amazing views! The staff and volunteers there are kind and personable. The bathrooms were incredibly clean, and the service sink was handy for rinsing larger items. My daughter enjoyed the Junior Ranger Program and attending the nightly Ranger Talks in the outdoor amphitheater. Overall, I highly recommend this campground!

There was no dump station, we had to go into town to another campground and pay to empty our tanks. Also, the 8am to 8 pm generator rule needs to be updated because of the excessive heat. Because of the excessive heat, our group of 3 rv’s only stayed for one night although we had reserved two nights.
On the plus side, the campground hosts were wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
