Nice campground. No attendant. You needed to drive to the lake. Water was so murky. Road was narrow with a steep drop off. Lots of beautiful butterflies. Close to Huntington WV with nice restaurants.

Love this campground, very upset that it was closed 2 weeks early. Liked it better when the last weekend was at the end of august.

We have visited Lake Vesuvius two other times. The campground is very nice with paved sites and very clean bathrooms and showers. As clean as they were, when I tried to take a shower I waited for the water to warm up and it just didn't. Finally, after it warmed to just under tepid, not warm, I took a very chilly shower. Otherwise we had a lovely time walking around the lake and enjoying the beautiful fall colors and weather.
I would like to come in the summer and take advantage of the kayaks for rent.

Great place to camp! Need to have more events for October weekends such as hayrides, etc. Trick or treat in the campground and campsite decoration contests are great too. Pumpkin carving contest is good too.

Great campground. Most spots are level and somewhat shaded. However, #14 required jacking the front very high and beyond ability of power jack. Fortunately, I had a 12” block to get it up to level.

An absolutely beautiful campground! The camp hosts were amazingly sweet and helpful and even remembered me when I came back through to stay the second time. The facilities were clean and well kept, the sites were perfect for what I needed. The lake was very peacefull and perfect for paddle boarding with my dog. There are lots of hiking trails including a paved trail to a cool rock overhang. I wish this campsite was closer because I would go every weekend if I could.
