Belle Starr is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious, clean sites and stunning lake views. Many guests appreciated the friendly camp hosts and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for relaxation. However, some areas need improvement, particularly regarding restroom cleanliness, grassy site maintenance, and certain site accessibility issues.

We had a large campsite right on lake Eufaula with our own beach! The campground is very large with lots of room for walking and biking. I saw a Bald Eagle flying over the edge of the lake.
Lots to do in the area, Honey Springs Battlefield, Fort Smith, and Route 66 in Tulsa Blue Dome district.

Very nice facility. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Went out of their way to help, make us feel welcome, and encourage us to visit again.

Poor, creepy, experience. People look like they are living in this campground. Couldn’t see our site behind the live in “campers” with all their vehicles, campers and pop up shelters. A herd of cats surrounded us when we finally found and pulled into our site, odd when you plan to tent camp. Tried to find another open site to pay for in order to get away from the people living here (and their herd of felines) and were run off the road/penned in by an aggressive man who thinks he owns the campground. Did not identify himself as the on-site campground attendant or anything, just an aggressive, territorial, vigilante type. Armed I’m sure, so it was time to leave the PUBLIC CAMPGROUND. Gates closed an hour earlier than posted in this description on recreation.gov, glad we could even find out way out. Signage was non-existent and also hard to see the branching roads or site markers in the dark winter evenings. Not exactly the camping near the lake experience I was looking forward to. Thanks for all the help vigilante man, your cats are all safe from us now.
