Belle Starr Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a top choice for campers. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake views, and spacious pull-through sites, with ample wildlife to observe. Some concerns include limited restroom availability during off-peak months and the presence of stickers in the area, but overall, guests express a strong desire to return.

Loved the large spaces and had a nice view of the lake. The kids enjoyed the playground. Will definitely stay here again.

There is much too much distance for water at most of the sites. We had to have 4 hoses for about 120ft and the site was not as level as it could be. The area was very easy to get to and quiet.

Arrived on a Monday in October so plenty of sites available. Got one on the shore of the lake. The post for the electric was pretty beaten up. Site was clean.

We enjoyed our stay here, however, make sure you have an extra long water hose, some of the spigot's are a good distance form the site. Also, be prepared for a lot of sand spurs due to the sandy soil and not treated. The grass in the sites was pretty long and needed mowing, and our dogs were getting spurs in their paws, even in the site grassy area. We were still finding them in our trailer a week later. I know they don't have the funding that State Parks have, but could use a bit of tending. It was very beautiful waterfront scenery and great star gazing at night. Very peaceful, we were pleasantly surprised at the quite. If they could try to do something about the spurs, we will return, but it was too much for our pooches.

My only complaint is how far the water hydrants are from some of the sites. Would have been helpful to have known - would have brought an extra hose. We had to move our motorhome off the pad to get close enough to the hydrant. Love the spot! Will be back next season! Wish you were open all year long!

What started as a stopover will be a destination in the future!! Large sites with concrete or asphalt pads depending on the area. Of course it’s always nice to be right on the lake but in this park even the sites in the woods were massive and wonderful! We stayed on a lake front site and loved this park.
