Sardis has always been one of my favorite lakes. It is truly breathtaking to be out on the water and look around at the mountains surrounding you. The park/campsites/facilities, however, are in desperate need of some long overdue attention. There are multiple fishing docks that are broken down or completely unusable, including one specifically for handicap use. Anything made from wood is rotting and needs to be replaced at each site like the prep table near the grills, picnic tables, etc. The pavilion in one of the group camps has a fireplace that is cracked, the grate out of the fireplace was thrown down in the grass behind it and had been there for some time, one of the benches on the picnic table is broken and has been for at least 3 years, there are poles for a volleyball net with no net (also been this way for a 3 year minimum), and the grass had not been mowed recently either. Most of the sites only have a 30 amp hookup and you cannot use an adapter to plug into the 110. One of the urinals in the bathhouse was broken and the fix was to put a trash bag over it so it couldn’t be used. We saw maintenance trucks driving around constantly, but it is unclear what they are maintaining with so many things in disarray. We were informed by a park ranger yelling from the shore that we could not tie off to a water pump structure while fishing even though there were no signs posted letting us know it was prohibited. I would love to see some TLC and improvements made to the parks as it is very disheartening to see a place I love fall to shambles. Upgrading the sites to 50 amp capabilities would be wonderful as well.

Camp site on the lake. Amazing sunset. What more could you want. And an electric hook up and water

this park is very nice . the staff goes out of their way for you . trails were good.
my only suggestions is at the Horse camping sites , you will need to bring extra water hoses for your trailer, and maybe a "Y" splitter for you and your neighbor to share water faucet. you may need up to 100' depending on your trailer length and location of hookup into your trailer . the power source is located at normal location of site.

everything was clean, and nice, Grass needed mowing, but it had rained, and the 30amp breaker was tripping. I think it is weak. I stay here all the time, and never had this issue.
