Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, great fishing opportunities, and various amenities like hiking trails and a boat ramp. However, some guests have raised concerns about reservation policies and the maintenance of certain facilities, including the cleanliness of the bathrooms and issues with water supply at tent sites. As others have said, many of the sites are far from level. The bathhouse was clean and the showers were hot with good flow rates. The picnic tables in a lot of the sites also seemed out of level and both our site and the table at the site could use some attention. Good rates for a site with electricity and water.

When we arrived to WIRS there was a Squatter at our campsite. When I approached her in regards to our reservation on site 20… she started yelling at me and cursing me. It was very disturbing. There was no camp host or Ranger available. When I tried to wave a ranger down later… he just waved and kept going. The next time he round he never look our way.
She eventually left and we did camp that night but didn’t stay the next day. There was no reservation clipped to our site and no phone number on the gate house to call.

This spot was a nightmare to back into and we could not get the camper level at all. It was so sloped there was no way to get the nose up high enough with our Jack's and a smaller camper shouldn't have that issue. The area was washed out from rain. It's a long walk to the swimming area from the camping area.
