About Brush Creek Public Use Area

Brush Creek is located downstream of Keystone Dam, just 10 minutes from Tulsa, Oklahoma. This park features campground provided activities such as horseshoes, cornholes, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, a mile-long fitness trail, and quick access to nearby multi-purpose trails. This is a popular destination for fishermen as they have the ability to cross along the pedestrian bridge from the campground to the fishing berm below the dam. In additon to fishing, this area offers prime opportunities to observe multiple wildlife species.  Please note when camping here, while typically quiet, water releases from the dam are preceded by several warning signals from a horn. This is a brief safety measure for anyone in or near the water below the dam, and there is no danger to the campground.

Grounds were very clean. Close to the lake and a lot of area for the kids to explore and roam around.
Our site the faucet was basically unusable. It sprayed every from the handle valve (not the threaded connection) and not just a trickle. Like of you came within a couple of feet of it you got a shower. I brought it up to the host, he seemed unconcerned. I filled up my tank and just pumped out of that so I was able to work around it.
Be warned, they blast an air horn 5 long blasts every time they stop or release water from the hydroelectric dam which could be the middle of the night. I've stayed at similar dams before and usually it's just a couple of quick blasts. Not here, 5 LONNGGGG blasts.

All was as expected. Water pressure is very high so use your regulator.

Enjoyed our stay here. The campground was clean and well maintained and the sites nicely spaced. We saw lots of waterfowl including white pelicans and cormorants. There is a one mile paved walking path with fitness equipment
if you’re in need of exercise!
