What Guests Are Saying
Washington Irving South offers a beautiful and peaceful campground with great views of the lake, clean facilities, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, hiking trails, and proximity to Tulsa. However, some areas, particularly the restrooms and older sites, need maintenance and improvement, and there are concerns about sandburs affecting outdoor activities. Overall, guests express a desire to return despite some shortcomings.

I don’t believe that they are able to keep someone’s money if the reservation has changed and we were unable to stay! I cancelled before the day of check in but they kept all my money! Not very nice

Nice quiet little campground! We arrived Sunday around noon and it was packed with campers. When we returned that evening it was completely empty and spotless! It sits right next to the lake and is a short drive to Tulsa. We stayed several nights and there were only a few other campers the whole time. There is a nice hiking trail that leaves from the camp. There are lots of sandspurs so you have to watch for those if you walk in the grass. We will be back!

The camp hosts only checked and cleaned the bathrooms when everyone in the park was gone!! Very poor quality bathrooms.

Water at the tent sites was shut off. The showers were room temperature. There were no hooks to hang clothes or towels and the showers were pretty worn out and gross. Can’t believe I paid for that experience.

The landscape around lake was beautiful!
The physical structures and parking pads looked worn and uncared for. Don’t know IF lack of money or lack of caring, but too nice of a campground to let go downhill
