What Guests Are Saying
Washington Irving South offers a beautiful and peaceful campground with great views of the lake, clean facilities, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, hiking trails, and proximity to Tulsa. However, some areas, particularly the restrooms and older sites, need maintenance and improvement, and there are concerns about sandburs affecting outdoor activities. Overall, guests express a desire to return despite some shortcomings.

This is a great park. Few sites are not the best. Very few sites level. Restrooms need TLC.

I love staying at COE campgrounds. They rarely have sewer hookups, but I can generally work around that. This park wasn't too hard to get into, however, the roads were pretty narrow. Most of the camp sites are pretty sloped, there are only a couple available for longer units like mine. I didn't have any trouble leveling though. The trees were trimmed high enough to not hit my RV (which is 13'-5" high). I loved staying here. There isn't much to do (other than water sports), I rode my bike and ran out of places to go because I didn't want to get onto the busy/narrow roads. But I was only here for 2 days. I'll come back again most likely.

This is and could be a better campground. Sites 1-16 could use lots of TLC. 17-20 are new and very nice. Be prepared to pick up pieces of trash around your site.

This campsite is too near the entrance for some, but it was all quiet for me. Nearby trees were adequate for a hammock. Near the shower/bathhouse. and the pad itself was level.
Very convenient to Tulsa and Sand Springs. Hiking is nearby at Two Rivers Trail (Keystone Dam) and Keystone Ancient Forest Trails.

The campground is nice, one of our favorites, we’ve stayed many times. The campground host was very helpful, the campground was clean, as were the restrooms. I gave it a lower review this time because someone stole our camp chairs and fold up table while we were gone.
