About Washington Irving South
Washington Irving South is located on the Arkansas arm of Keystone Lake, just 30 minutes from Tulsa. In Washington Irving's book, "A Tour of the Prairies," he mentions the area as where he crossed the Arkansas River during his travels. The park features a one-mile nature trail, boat ramp, courtesy dock, playground, and multiple areas along the shores ideal for fishing. The lake's blue-green water, beautiful natural surroundings and wide variety of recreational opportunities make it a popular location for year-round fun.

We had sites 10 and 11. Site 10 is on a hillside and it was difficult to get our 22 ft trailer level. There was no level place to put the table and the table was connected to the grill by a cable. Ten has very little shade early in the day, but great shade in the afternoon. Site 11 was much more level with very little adjustments needed for our teardrop. It has morning shade that drops through the day and then you get more shade in the afternoon. We were able to find a level spot in the site for our tent. Site 11 is by far the better of the two sites.

Getting There
From Tulsa, Oklahoma, take Highway 412 west for 15 mi to Bears Glen exit. Turn left at stop sign onto the Frontage Road and drive 1 block. Turn right at first paved road and follow 2 mi to the campground entrance.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Beware of low hanging limbs due to heavy tree cover in the campground.
Site capacity
- Camping is allowed only in designated campsites with specific limits on units and duration. Clean up after your stay and adhere to fire restrictions.

- To protect forests, purchase firewood locally and burn it on-site.
