Not the spot we wanted, someone else had our spot that we reserved. No fire fit, no shade. No grill.

Park clean and well kept. Need to try and get rid of the geese if possible.

Every time we have been there this year, the park has needed mowed and weeded. Some fire pits (including the one at our campsites) had trash and aluminum cans in them. The concrete around the picnic tables used to be kept clean of leaves and branches, but not this year. The camp hosts are rarely there.

Nice, quiet campground with water and electric hookups conveniently located right next to the parking area. The spot is at the waters edge although the shoreline is rocky and somewhat steep, making access to the water a bit challenging. Restrooms and showers are just across the road and are clean and well maintained. A designated swimming beach is available on the opposite side of the lake, approximately a 3-mile drive away.
One thing to consider is that a walnut tree hangs directly over site 9. While it provides excellent shade, I would not recommend this particular site during late summer or fall when full grown walnuts are actively dropping.

We really enjoyed our time there. The only thing we were disappointed in was the grass had not been mowed so never got to enjoy sitting around the fire pit. It was very nice that we each had our own water hydrant which is unusual for a Corp lake. It rained a couple times so enjoyed some beautiful rainbows! I would go there again!

Sites are spread out, about 20 to 25 sites. The COE on the east side is much larger. Bathroom and shower were nice and clean. Take extra potable water hose, water supply not close to pad on some sites. Quiet campsite with beautiful sunrise over the Lake Copan.
