Only reason I’m giving a 2 star review is because I actually showed up a day late to my reservation and my campsite was trashed, looked like nobody even made an attempt to look at it or clean it up, we picked a full trash bag of garbage and broken bottles before we could even set camp. Overall the experience at the campground as a whole was nice, it was quite peaceful and secure. I wouldn’t rely on there being any usable fire wood laying about so definitely bring your own firewood if possible.

Campground needs some upgrades, access and level wise, but overall it was OK

Gentry Creek is an older campground in need of some work. We stayed on site 16. The driveway and pad were on a hill and required backing in. The pavement was crumbling away and there was a lot of glass in the material used as ground fill. Never saw a park representative during our stay. However, it was shady and the restrooms were in excellent condition. Would probably try to find somewhere else in the area to stay next time.

Very serene lakeside campsite. I don’t fish, but I thought it was a great idea to have a cleaning station set up at each campsite.

It was nice but dated. Wooded setting with some privacy. I would still prefer this place -vs- a RV resort that is a glorified parking lot.

We planned to stay here for an overnight on our way home. This is a great campground if you are here to fish. We pulled up to our site and several trucks with boat trailers were parked all around but we were able to get into the site with little problem. We took the dogs out and they immediately found old fish to try to eat. One was tangled up in fishing line and still had a hook in it. Thankfully we grabbed it in time. We stayed long enough to have lunch then went on down the road.
This campground is probably great for anyone wanting an early start in the water but wasn’t for us.
