What Guests Are Saying
Chicken Creek offers a beautiful camping experience with stunning lake views, peaceful surroundings, and well-maintained campsites. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and volunteers, as well as the easy access to water and nearby amenities. However, some concerns were raised about the condition of the facilities, including overgrown grass, restroom maintenance issues, and low tree limbs that could damage taller campers. Overall, guests have enjoyed their stays and express a desire to return despite the noted drawbacks.

Campsites are overgrown with tall grass.
Watch out low tree limbs that will cut your camper roof..
Keep an eye out for dead trees too!

Camp host cleared debris from the boat ramp area as soon as water went down giving easy access to the area or ramp area. Every time I was outside the Camp Host were always out picking up limbs. Camp sites were very nice I will definitely be back..

My wife and I enjoy staying at this park whenever we are in the area. This is not our first stay here. It is a beautiful park with the trees and the lake, and the folks are nice, but that's where the positive ends. Pretty much all the old camping slots need some kind of repair. The newer ones are not as bad but only because they are newer. There seems to be pretty much no maintenance whatsoever, and when something's broke it stays broke. The uphill restrooms and showers where evidently busted I need a repair, the newer shower is falling apart, and has been for quite some time. The entire time we were there for 14 days the hot water was never turned on even after requesting the first few days. As we stated it is a beautiful Park and we will be staying again, but they're definitely needs to be some attention taken to work the facilities.
