What Guests Are Saying
Chicken Creek offers a beautiful camping experience with stunning lake views, peaceful surroundings, and well-maintained campsites. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and volunteers, as well as the easy access to water and nearby amenities. However, some concerns were raised about the condition of the facilities, including overgrown grass, restroom maintenance issues, and low tree limbs that could damage taller campers. Overall, guests have enjoyed their stays and express a desire to return despite the noted drawbacks.

Very quiet underutilized campground; less than a handful of campers here on this early April weekend. Attendant said it’s rarely more than 60% full all season. Many lakeside campsites are first come, first serve. We chose #1 to avoid the strong south winds. No TV signal, ATT cell and WiFi adequate, water good, dump site easy to access. Very private, but little to do here but enjoy the beautiful lake. No hiking trails.

Trees need trimming. I was driving around looking at camping spots and low hanging limbs tore small hole in my roof. Finally backed into camping spot and over hanging limbs rubbed top of camper.

Clean grounds
Quite through the late evening
Had problems with 30 amp outlet and it was taken care of real quick.
I will be back.

We love this park. The park attendants are very friendly. It is a great place.
Cons:
But it is in need of updates. Railroad ties are rioted, broken, and there is a lot of exposed rebar, that is hard to see. Mowing seems to be once a month. It seems the fire pits never get cleaned.

This is a very nice campground with a beautiful view. I gave it a good rating due to the beyond terrible bathroom situation. I do realize some people have a camper and place to poop, but some don't. Fix the dang toilet seats! Aside from this gripe, the place is a pleasure to stay.
