We always stay at Cookson Bend. The sites are very nice and all have a water view. It’s always clean and well maintained and it’s located pretty centrally on the lake.

Our 1st time camping over the 4th of July holiday. We had a great time other than the bathrooms were not very clean. Stoped at the front gate 2 different times to let them know.

WE RESERVED THE CAMP SITE OF 092 WHICH WAS A GOOD CHOICE, EASY TO BACK OUR CAMPER IN AND THE SITE HAD A LOT OF SHADE THROUGH OUT THE DAY. WE WILL DEFINATELY PLAN TO GO BACK FOR ANOTHER CAMPING TRIP.

We enjoyed our time at Cookson Bend. The weather was great and the lake wasn’t busy so it made for a perfect time at the lake for us. We have plans to be back there for a few more days of camping next week.

The campsites near the entrance gate are difficult to get into with a truck and travel trailer. Lots of trees and gravel with poorly laid out spots. The bathroom shower was so hot and leaking that the steam in the room is stifling. The park had flooded and there was a lot of debris even though staff were working hard to clean it up. This campground needs upgrading.
