What Guests Are Saying
Cookson Bend offers a relaxing atmosphere with clean campsites and friendly hosts, making it a pleasant experience for visitors. While some sites require maintenance, such as filling around concrete pads and removing dead trees, the restroom and shower facilities are well-maintained. Overall, campers appreciate the friendly staff and scenic views, though some have noted issues with overcrowding and site conditions.

Always love this place. Camp sites are very nice and right on the water. This is the best place to stay on Tenkiller.

Most of the park is well maintained. Some sites are older and not paved. Many sites actually have water hookups but it is not listed on the web site. The clean out station doesn't have a place to wait in line for it. There is also no place to turn around after you pass it. Might be a good idea to walk up and check it out 1st before pulling your big trailer through there and finding out you can't clean out. The views of the water are amazing especially with the sites directly by the water.

Always enjoy this campground, though larger, it is usually quiet. We always meet great campers to visit while here.

Camped Monday-Wednesday in pull through site #19. Had a nice view of the lake and shady almost all day. Love Tenkiller! Quiet and peaceful camping, excellent camp site hosts, extremely helpful. Can hardly wait to return.

Tenkiller is one of my most favorite lakes in Oklahoma. Cooksen Bend has nice sites! My only issue, there was trash all around and the smell of dog poop was so strong, all 4 days. Not 100 % sure that is what the smell was due to the trash. We picked up all around us and still the smell was still strong!
