Beautiful bay area setting. We were right on the water where we could park our boats. This was an awesome weekend. Nice and quiet and peaceful. Note: bring a splitter for the water hookup, you have to share with your neighbors.

We arrived Friday evening, got the camper set up in PBII #21 and boat in the water. Turned on the A/C so the camper would cool down and then went for a boat ride. When we arrived back at camp around 9pm we realized the camper was not cooling down in spite of the A/C being on. Some quick trouble shooting using a voltage meter (thank goodness the friends with us were electricians) and we realized we had low voltage. Our 30 amp spot was only putting out about 1/2 of that and it was not enough to make the compressor kick on. Talking to the campers next to us, we found out they didn't even have enough power to run a fan in their camper. After calling the numbers I could find online we headed to the gate. By now it was just after 10pm and the gate and gate shack were closed. I called the numbers on the window and finally reached someone at the Corp of Engineers number, I believe it was an answering service. She was very helpful and advised us to find the camp hosts to let them know. My husband walked the short distance to their camper and knocked. After the gentleman answered he explained what was going on and that we were worried about the electric (never mind the fact it was still 90 degrees outside at this time) and explained about the person next to us having issues as well. My husband was told "sorry, nothing we can do, maintenance leaves at midnight and no one works on weekends". My hubs didn't realize it was only around 10:30 at the time so the midnight statement from the camp host was irrelevant. We headed back to our camper and stayed outside as long as we could and then thankfully used our fans to keep us and our guests cool. The neighbors had to sleep outside! The next day the camp hosts sent the park ranger to talk to us, but we were already on the water. Later we went to check with the gate shack and the woman working was quite possibly the rudest person I've very met. We camp in the same site several times a year, and this was a terrible experience.

We loved the park overall. The RV site was perfect with a lovely view of the lake. We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to coming back.
