beautiful campground, nice to have access to water now, just not at the campsites. would be nice to have cell service though for contact with family or emergency use.

Hail storm from previous night left lots of branches & leaves scattered about--but that's the way hail storms are. Roads good, shower house good. All good.

Site 36 was close to lake and older bathroom and shower facility. Shower facility was outdated but they are opening a new one. It was quiet. Good biking though the camp. Nice short hike to Nature Educational Center over foot bridge. Lots to see in the preserve. Good hiking, lots of wildlife to see and photograph, many small lakes and an interesting information center. I will be going back again.
Be alert for raccoon raiders at night. You will want to secure your camp. Discovered one in back of my pickup right off when arriving first night. They are cute but can be pesky. Please dont feed them and encourage bad behavior.

This is a great campground, very large lots and we had one right on the lake. It is a bit of a walk to the showers, and they are in need of updating. The other shower was being renovated but was not open when we were there. Our site had electricity but had to walk a short distance to get water. It was a great experience.
