It is a shame with today’s technology that you can not get any cell/internet service in the middle of a national wildlife park. It is the goal to go camping and get away from everything, however, we had some bad weather go through and couldn’t get anyway to see if we were in danger. It was too hot for us to sit outside but was unable to stream any service to watch anything. Just need options for safety and entertainment.

campsites were good, bathrooms/showers were in poor condition- old, dirty. they were currently being renovated, but even new facilities need to be maintained/cleaned

Perfection! Check in was a breeze. Watch out for the many raccoons. They are NOT shy.

Our campsite was very nice and clean, we had arrived early before checkin and the camp host were very nice and helpful in finding our site, they also allowed us to checkin early.

From I-44 take Highway 49 (exit 45). Go west 7 miles to the Refuge gate or 14 miles to the Visitor Center. If coming from Highway 62, take Highway 115 (Cache exit) north to the Refuge Gate.
