Bison Trail was great. Gives you a view of all the various terrain of the Wichita Mountains. Campgrond and most of the area has NO cell phone service...so download trail maps before you go hiking.

We had a great visit to Camp Doris. It is only 15 miles from our house but we still love to go there, to get back to nature. There are alot of great trails. Every time we are there, we find more things to discover.
If you are pulling a trailer or motorhome, don't forget to get water at one of the stops before you get to your site. There is no water available at the sites.

Nice campsites with electricity. Website states they do not have potable water, they do now, however I filled up before arriving.

Some sites are better than others, and not all sites have water hookups. But the wildlife refuge is amazing and the wildlife that is just casually passing through is a major draw! Wild turkeys, longhorn cattle and bison were all spotted this trip!
