We truck camped so the pad was pretty open for us. Great open view of the stars and lots of birds in the morning. Always fun to walk around and look at everyone’s setups.

The campground host were wonderful and the new restroom and showers were super clean and private. It's unfortunate that the old shower house was gone, it had so much history behind it. New outhouses and water faucets are nice. Campsites are not close but close enough to feel comfortable if camping alone. I have been here several times and have never had a bad experience or had problems with any other campers. Just the opposite all campers are friendly and helpful. Lots of hiking trails and great scenery and wildlife. Finally got to see, for the first time, a group of Elk (8) Two things to know is that it's a windy area even in the campground most of the time and no cell service in the campground. There's plenty of places to check your phone in the wilderness area but just not in t campground which eliminated spam calls. It's also close to town in case you forget something.
