Hawthorn Bluff offers a beautiful, well-spaced campground with plenty of shade, lake access, and recreational activities such as fishing and hiking. However, maintenance issues like overflowing trash, bathroom cleanliness, and access to amenities have been noted by several campers. Despite these challenges, many visitors still enjoy their experience and appreciate the park's overall charm and potential for improvement.

Do some of trees need trimmed? Yes there are a lot of tree leaves...The site I was in was the best I have ever stayed in and that is 12 to 15 weeks a year with 3 nights each. There are some sites that may be hard to get in but over all this is a very good campground.
