Hawthorn Bluff offers a beautiful, well-spaced campground with plenty of shade, lake access, and recreational activities such as fishing and hiking. However, maintenance issues like overflowing trash, bathroom cleanliness, and access to amenities have been noted by several campers. Despite these challenges, many visitors still enjoy their experience and appreciate the park's overall charm and potential for improvement.

Great campground... we are frequent visitors. Spot 49 is NOT 55 ft! If you are more than 30 ft long, you won't fit. We had to be moved to a different spot. It's nice that the gates to the other side of the park are open now. We did notice that it hadn't been mowed in quite a while. We used a weedeater at our campsite.

Is was last minute and we completely enjoyed our time there clean bathrooms and very nice campsites. I was shocked there was still sites available. There were spaces that appeared to be rented yet we saw no vehicles in them. My only complaint would be if possible if they rent for a full week and are no shows or left early the spaces be made available or offered as a up sale especially spots near the water to the visitors.

25 is level only if your chalk above the parking stop. Spectacular view of blue green lake from high cliff. Plenty of sea birds passing by.
