Hawthorn Bluff offers a beautiful, well-spaced campground with plenty of shade, lake access, and recreational activities such as fishing and hiking. However, maintenance issues like overflowing trash, bathroom cleanliness, and access to amenities have been noted by several campers. Despite these challenges, many visitors still enjoy their experience and appreciate the park's overall charm and potential for improvement.

Campground was nice. Inconsiderate campers kept hooked up to water with splitter, causing the rest of us to "ask" them for water. Bathrooms were great. Please consider selling firewood, especially on holiday weekends.

By the time I got my camper level, the hitch was 4 ft in the air and my steps didn’t reach the ground. Bring lots of blocks! Otherwise it’s a great spot with plenty of room beside and behind the camper.
