What Guests Are Saying
Mcfadden Cove offers a clean and well-maintained campground with a convenient location near a boat ramp and marina, making it ideal for outdoor activities. Campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and shaded sites, as well as the friendly camp host who assists in site selection. I was very disappointed with our visit. We had problems with our truck on the way there finally got there but had to figure out a way to get our camper back home. So when the electricity went out and they told us there would be no electricity all weekend we were stuck. They told us that we could stay or go, but either way we would get a full refund. Well I paid $66 and was only refunded $44. That is not a full refund. Then to find out they have no sewer hook up or dump. That was the final straw for us. We spent so much money to buy a generator and gas to run it. Not have electricity was a nightmare!!! My husband said he will never go back to Kaw lake, we will find a different place to camp from now on!!!

We like the convenient proximity to boat ramp and marina. The bathrooms were clean as were the campgrounds. The water hydrant at campsite number 2 had a leak when hooked up to the camper that needs repaired. Would like to see a shower and dump station installed on the facility. Especially with the road over the dam closed it's a 20-to-30-minute drive to a dump station. Overall, we liked the campground and would stay there again.

Nice quiet campground. The only drawback is it didn't have it's own dump station. We had to drive 15 minutes to dump our black tank.

We tent camped at McFadden for 2 nights to snag paddle fish below the dam. This was a wonderful experience for me and the kids. The campground was nice and all of the sites have plenty of room and level ground for tents. The vault toilet was probably the cleanest I have ever been in. It was hot and there is plenty of shade at all but one of the sites. My only negative note is there being no fish cleaning station. This is a popular paddle fish spot and it really surprised me that I could not find a cleaning station.

Such a wonderful camp host host signed me in. I said what I’d like for a spot, never being there before. She put us in the greatest camp site.
